Trump hints at bombing cities causing backlash
The article discusses statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump, in which he controversially suggested that Iran might attack the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, considering such an attack a "small price" to pay for maintaining the security of the United States and the world. Local and government officials, including California's governor and the mayors of Los Angeles and San Diego, responded to these remarks by calling for the protection of the cities and condemning them as irresponsible and as encouraging attacks. The comments sparked widespread criticism, with Trump facing a wave of political pushback, raising concerns about their potential impact on calls for his impeachment, especially given that the remarks pertain to the security of major U.S. cities.
