The Tunisian Engineers Union invites the adoption of a national electrical security plan for the period 2027-2030, focusing on improving the management of gas, electricity, and renewable energy systems, developing the grid, and strengthening project funding. It emphasizes the necessity of shifting from crisis management to proactive planning to ensure continuous power supply during peak periods, through auditing production capacity, recovering lost megawatts, securing gas supplies, developing renewable energy projects, and encouraging energy conservation. They also propose national programs for batteries and demand management, along with the adoption of a dashboard to monitor the electrical safety margin, and plan for fair and pre-arranged load shedding operations.
