Tunisian Tribes Code by Al-Daoui
The book "The Code of Tunisian Tribes: From Mythical Times to Historical Times" by Professor Hatem Al-Daouy offers an important documentary study on the origins of Tunisian tribes, with a focus on the tribes of the Tlemcen region in the provinces of Kef, Siliana, and Kasserine, particularly during the protests against central authorities in 1859. The work highlights the role of these tribes in defending Tunisia's western borders and the delay in establishing the final borders until 1888, while also shedding light on their militant relations with Algerian tribes and their efforts to preserve their vital territories. It emphasizes their role as guardians of the borders and strengthens the historical memory of Tunisian origins.
