Responding to Trump's Zelensky call
Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Andriy Speiga, lashed out at Trump's call to replace Ukraine's President Zelensky, affirming that the Ukrainian people are the only ones entitled to make that decision. He added that Zelensky enjoys the support of the people and is leading the country during wartime in pursuit of independence and freedom, and that foreign statements only indicate that the president is performing his duties correctly. This came after Trump said it was time for Ukraine to have a new president, criticizing Zelensky's efforts to end the war with Russia, pointing to the loss of 30% of Ukrainian territory and over two million people killed, and proposing the selection of a new leader.
