Olive Oil Tuberculosis and Price Update
Abdullah Sahrawi, a member of the Tunisian Olive Growers' Union, warned about the spread of olive gall disease, which has affected several olive groves in Tunisia. The disease threatens the trees and could lead to a decline in olive production, causing significant economic losses for farmers and the local industry. There are no reports of an effective cure at this time, and control measures mostly rely on preventive strategies and prophylactic spraying to protect the trees.
