Spanish King Felipe VI affirms Ceuta and Melilla as part of Spain
Spanish King Felipe VI stated that Ceuta and Melilla are "an integral part" of Spain, emphasizing the need to maintain good neighborly relations with Morocco, especially following the unprecedented flow of migrants in July, which strained the relations between the two countries. This was his first visit to the two territories since 2007, reaffirming Spain's firm stance on its sovereignty over Ceuta and Melilla and that the unity of its territory is non-negotiable, amid escalating tensions with Morocco.
