Bousalem Council Looks to Support Vulnerable Groups
The article focused on the discussion between the local Development Council in Bousalem and the social promotion authorities regarding ways to improve support for low-income families and vulnerable groups in the area. The meeting addressed the difficulties families face in obtaining free or low-cost health cards, as the evaluation system has become based on specific criteria and points, which reduces some cases' ability to benefit from the services. The discussion also covered topics related to the elderly and people with disabilities, care programs, and social assistance, especially during back-to-school periods and special occasions such as Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. Emphasis was placed on the need to review targeting mechanisms to ensure that aid reaches the most needy groups, along with discussions on economic empowerment programs aimed at supporting income through small projects, which require skills and professional competencies to increase the chances of success for these initiatives.
