Breaking down illegal sports betting network
The judicial police officers in Sghira managed to dismantle a network involved in illegal online sports betting. The network was operated by a cafe owner in Mlezine and some accomplices. This action came after investigations that followed information about his profitable activity in this field. The inquiries revealed that the suspects relied on two waiters who used their phones to carry out the operations. They have been referred to the prosecutor’s office along with the seized items, and detention orders have been issued against them pending further investigations and the necessary legal measures.
