Business and banking officials linked to unjustified loans over 240 billion
The investigation revealed that a businessman and two bank employees were involved in obtaining bank loans without collateral amounts exceeding 240 million dinars, through manipulative practices and violations of the law. These loans were used to generate undisclosed profits and to avoid repayment, causing damage to the bank. It also became clear that the businessman attempted to reschedule the accumulated debts, despite these exceeding 25% of the original loans, and continued to obtain long-term loans in violation of regulations, without settling the dues. He benefited unlawfully from these loans and has not yet made any efforts to recover his debts.
