FAO Tunisia Highlights Skilled Workforce
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) affirms that Tunisia possesses the skills and expertise in the agricultural sector, qualifying it to develop production and enhance food security, provided these capabilities are effectively utilized and suitable conditions are created. It calls for adopting more efficient production models through modern technology and innovation, with a focus on attracting and integrating young people into the agricultural sector to create job opportunities and stimulate investment. Additionally, it highlights the importance of strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors to increase production and marketing, and to develop value chains to ensure the sustainability of agricultural activities and their contribution to the national economy—especially in the face of global challenges such as climate change and resource scarcity.
