U.S. investigates Ilhan Omar over criticism of Trump
American reports indicate that the Department of Justice has summoned Ilhan Omar's relatives for an investigation related to immigration and naturalization documents she obtained, including the circumstances surrounding her US citizenship in 2000 after arriving as a refugee from Somalia in 1995. The actions included raiding her Washington home and confiscating electronic devices, amid speculation that efforts are underway to build a case that could lead to stripping her citizenship and deportation, although final results have not yet been disclosed. This comes amid political tensions between Omar and the Trump administration, with the investigation focusing on suspicions regarding the authenticity of documents related to her immigration process, without a final judicial ruling having been issued.
