Austrian Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Sofia
An Austrian Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Sofia after receiving a report of a bomb onboard. The plane was diverted, and thorough security inspections were carried out to detect any threat, amid rising security concerns regarding flights to and from Israel. Similar reports of bombs on two flights from New York to Israel had previously proven to be false alarms. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the source of the report and the nature of the threats, and to take appropriate legal measures.
