Summit Omits Zelensky and Reveals Secret Putin Proposal
Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed holding a trilateral summit this coming November with U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese Leader Xi Jinping to discuss a settlement to the war in Ukraine according to Moscow's terms, without the participation of Ukrainian President Zelensky. Washington has commented on the idea, with Trump not yet having agreed but possibly being open to it in an effort to end the ongoing conflict that has lasted four years, amid discussions regarding a trade agreement between Washington and Moscow. Sources indicate that the potential meeting also aims to strengthen China's diplomatic influence and encourage international mediation in the Ukrainian crisis.
