A man in his twenties suffered serious head and torso injuries when his motorcycle collided with a car near the Al-Haliq area of Joumine on Sunday evening. Civil Protection personnel from Sejnane took him to the local hospital; several hours later, he was transferred to Bizerte University Hospital. The responders travelled more than 90 kilometres there and back, as no ambulance equipped for resuscitation was available. Residents renewed their calls for a permanent Civil Protection branch in Joumine and for the local hospital to be properly equipped.
