The American website Space.com linked the total solar eclipse expected on August 2, 2027, to the filming locations of the *Star Wars* series in Tunisia, inviting astronomy enthusiasts to watch the event in the country’s south. The report said the eclipse will last 2 minutes and 9 seconds at Mos Espa near Tozeur, 3 minutes and 37 seconds at Mghair Pass, and around 4 minutes near Ajim on Djerba. It suggested that combining eclipse viewing with visits to film locations, along with low cloud cover and tourism infrastructure, gives Tunisia an opportunity to attract visitors and promote its desert regions.
