Tunisian Environment Minister Habib Abid announced the launch of a tree-planting program in cooperation with the Tunisian Scouts and the General Directorate of Forests. The program aims to plant 12,000 trees across the country, with 500 trees allocated to each scout troop. The initiative is one of three national programs designed to expand green spaces, strengthen food security and combat soil erosion. In Manouba Governorate, around 110 hectares and more than 125,000 seedlings have been allocated for the 2026–2027 planting season.
