Majid bin Zayed attends Etisalat's digital infrastructure project launch

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, as well as Chairman of the Presidential Court, attended the launch of "Etisalat" Group’s strategic project to develop and expand digital infrastructure in the UAE and beyond. The goal is to enhance the country’s readiness for the demands of the AI economy and to strengthen its position on the global digital stage. The project involves increasing international connectivity capacity to over 500 terabits per second by 2030, approximately 25 times the current capacity, in addition to improving connection efficiency and reliability, and reducing latency. This initiative forms part of the Group’s strategy focused on empowering the technology and artificial intelligence sectors, investing in advanced digital infrastructure to support future growth, and maintaining the UAE’s global competitiveness. Furthermore, "Etisalat" celebrated its 25th anniversary, unveiling its future vision to be at the forefront of AI-driven companies, with a focus on four main sectors: telecommunications, artificial intelligence, business solutions, infrastructure, and financial technology.
