Roma's team played a goalless draw against their host, Como, in the sixth round of the Italian Serie A. Both teams displayed similar performances, with Roma starting well and nearly scoring early in the match, but they had to continue the game with ten players after midfielder Doniel Malin was sent off in the 53rd minute. Como capitalized on the numerical advantage and threatened Roma's goal multiple times, but Roma goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini excelled and kept a clean sheet. With this draw, Roma maintains one point but lost the top spot to Inter Milan.
