Dubai arrests for reputation damage
Dubai Police organized a session of the "Dubai Police Podcast" program, during which they revealed the arrest of a group of individuals who deliberately posted false and negative reviews on Google Maps against a certain company, aimed at tarnishing its reputation and causing financial losses. Lieutenant Yasser Jumaa Mohammed explained that investigations confirmed the formation of online groups responsible for writing false comments. He emphasized that spreading and re-sharing rumors exposes the perpetrators to legal accountability. He also urged users to rely on official and trusted sources for news, warned against unauthorized filming during crises, and stressed the importance of adhering to official instructions to maintain community safety.
