Saudi Arabia to host Asian Cup 2027
The organizing committee of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 in Saudi Arabia confirmed its commitment to the scheduled dates from January 7 to February 5, 2027, despite the concerns related to sporting events in the Kingdom following recent attacks. They indicated that preparations, including the readiness of venues and facilities, are proceeding according to the approved timetable, and that they are continuing to allocate resources to ensure the success of the event. These statements come despite the postponement of some other sporting tournaments in Saudi Arabia, such as the Six Kings Cup and the final qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in electronic sports.
