Lamine Yamal's red before the Classico
The match between Barcelona and Real Betis in La Liga was marked by controversial refereeing decisions before the El Clásico, with Barcelona winning 5-2. A goal for Betis that could have equalized the score was disallowed, and Real Betis's Fakhundo Bernal was chased off after headbutting Amin Yamal, who received a yellow card. Yamal was also expected to be sent off and could have been given a straight red card. The coaches and some parties considered the refereeing decisions to be unfair, leading to significant controversy ahead of the upcoming showdown with Real Madrid.
