ADNOC League tightens race
Al Ahli Youth Team ended Al Ain's championship-winning streak after defeating them 2-0, halting Al Ain's undefeated record of 38 league matches. This was the first defeat for the champion since March 2025. At the same time, Al Jazira maintained its league lead after a 2-2 draw with Khor Fakkan, with just one point separating them from Al Ahli, Al Wasl, and Al Ain, amidst a fierce competition for the top spot after six matches. The stage also saw Al Ain drop to second place following their loss, with the total goals scored rising to 164 after six rounds — the highest since the season began. Additionally, Al Dhafra achieved their first victory in the league this season. Teams like Bani Yas and Hatta continue to jostle to stay in the comfortable zone of the standings.
