Official Iranian media reported that Qods Force commander Esmail Qaani of Iran's Revolutionary Guard called on Israel to voluntarily withdraw from all Lebanese territory. If Israel does not comply, he warned, it will be forced to flee. This comes amid a tentative agreement between the United States and Iran regarding the assurance of Lebanon's sovereignty and unity, which obligates Israel to withdraw from southern Lebanon, despite Israel and Lebanon denying any actual Israeli withdrawal from the region. Discussions are ongoing about handing over part of the occupied territories to the Lebanese army as an initial phase.
