Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, announced that the "Development Road" project, which extends from Iraq to Turkey, aims to enhance land transport and railways between Europe and the Arabian Gulf, following disruptions in transportation caused by tensions in the region. The project involves building land corridors and 1,200 kilometers of railway inside Iraq, with the goal of reducing transportation time between Europe and Asia to 15 days, while also strengthening regional trade and supporting the Turkish economy with estimated amounts of around $55 billion over ten years.
