Billions in defense deals at NATO summit

The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, revealed that the alliance's summit scheduled in Ankara in July will announce new contracts worth billions of dollars in the defense sector. European allies and Canada are expected to allocate approximately $1.2 trillion additional for defense spending between 2016 and 2026. He pointed out that defense expenditure is projected to increase by 20% in 2025, and that defense industries and innovative technologies will be a primary focus during the summit, which will emphasize the alliance’s unity and its ability to defend all of its members.
