Korea's arms race: missiles versus drones
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw the testing of developed artillery and missile systems, including 240mm rocket launchers and self-propelled howitzers, aimed at enhancing firepower along the southern border. He expressed satisfaction with the test results, which demonstrated progress in accuracy and automation, emphasizing that the policy of self-defense also seeks to strengthen offensive capabilities to deter enemies. In response, South Korea is working to expand its drone capabilities and plans to produce 110,000 drones by 2029 to counter North Korean threats.
