Israel and Lebanon to sign deal today
It is expected that Israel and Lebanon will sign a framework agreement today in Washington, following significant progress in the talks that include the commencement of a pilot phase and tunnel inspections. The recent disagreement centered on identifying the entry points for the Lebanese army rather than the Israeli army, particularly concerning the northern or southern side of the Litani River. These negotiations take place amidst a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah and are part of international efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.
