The United Arab Emirates has renewed its call for an immediate and unconditional humanitarian ceasefire in Sudan, aimed at ensuring safe and rapid access for humanitarian aid and working towards a permanent end to hostilities. It emphasized the need to establish a clear timetable for forming an independent and inclusive civilian government to achieve peace and stability in Sudan. This comes at a time when the Sudanese Sovereign Council has rejected the ceasefire draft proposed by Washington, while the United States has imposed sanctions on two Sudanese and one Indian company due to their involvement in the export and import of chlorine, a substance used in the manufacturing of chemical weapons.
