Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaydi announced that the justifications for the presence of armed factions have come to an end, coinciding with the scheduled American withdrawal in September. This places Iraq facing security and political challenges related to curbing Iranian influence and the potential for clashes with these factions. The government has taken legal measures to counter drone attacks and faces a complex task due to the lack of clear intentions from the factions to integrate under the state's authority, while Iran tries to distribute roles and avoid escalation. The report emphasizes that the government is under both internal and external pressure to achieve stability and contain armed influence within Iraq.
