2026 World Cup: Kane Sets Records and Keeps England Dream Alive

Harry Kane led the England national team to a 2-1 victory over the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, scoring crucial braces in the final minutes. Kane set a new record by reaching 20 goals across both the World Cup and the European Championship, making him the second-highest European scorer in history and cementing his position as England’s all-time top scorer in the World Cup. England managed to maintain their success by winning the match after conceding the first goal—for only the second time in their World Cup history—following their achievement in 1966. They now await a face-off with Mexico in the next round.
