Gaza Transfer via Kerem Shalom Reform

New security inspection procedures have been imposed at the Kerem Abu Salem crossing on returnees to the Gaza Strip, following the completion of travel operations at the Rafah crossing. These measures involve thorough searches of luggage and personal belongings, with reports of items going missing after inspections, increasing the suffering of travelers, especially the elderly and the sick. These procedures indicate an Israeli attempt to tighten control over the movement of Palestinians within the Gaza Strip and are part of long-term policies aimed at strengthening surveillance over mobility in the region.
