Washington and Tehran advance cautiously

Indirect negotiations between Washington and Tehran in Doha have seen cautious progress on issues such as Iranian frozen assets and the Strait of Hormuz, amid diverging positions from both sides. America has affirmed that it is negotiating from a position of strength and links the release of six billion dollars in frozen assets to the fulfillment of certain commitments, while Iran has set red lines regarding enrichment, missile programs, and regional alliances, accompanied by strong warnings of a vigorous response to any threats against the Supreme Leader.
