Houthi drone equipment smuggling efforts thwarted at Bab al-Mandab
The Southern Giants Brigades confirmed that they intercepted a boat transporting equipment used in the manufacturing of drones and suicide boats while attempting to cross the coasts of Al Hudaydah Governorate on the Red Sea. The seized shipment included various equipment such as a hydraulic drilling machine, servers, electronic chips, and GPS devices. Three fishermen affiliated with the Houthi group were also captured on board the vessel. This operation is part of the forces' efforts to secure the coastlines and combat the smuggling of weapons and equipment aimed at the Houthi militia, with officials affirming that the source of these supplies is through smuggling networks supported by Iran.
