Standard Chartered unveils USDC services in UAE
Standard Chartered Bank has announced the launch of the first integrated service for issuing and redeeming the digital currency "USDC" in collaboration with Circle. This makes it the first licensed global bank to offer this service seamlessly to corporate and institutional clients at the Dubai International Financial Centre. The service enables fast and transparent transfer of value between traditional and digital financial systems, supporting a range of use cases such as settlement and liquidity management. Plans are in place to expand into additional markets after obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals. This development reflects the growing demand for regulated stablecoin infrastructure and integration with global financial markets.
