Palestinians Criticize Peace Council and US on UNRWA
Palestinians condemned the statements made by the U.S. Peace Council and the U.S. administration regarding the future of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), emphasizing the importance of the agency's continued operation and its role in providing aid and services to refugees. They stated that any attempt to cut or terminate UNRWA's mandate constitutes an attack on international legitimacy and aims to eliminate the Palestinian refugee issue. Palestinian factions and the international community were called upon to protect the agency and preserve its mandate to ensure refugees' rights and to maintain stability in the region.
