Book details Japanese Unit 731 crimes

A new book titled "The Black Box: Unit 731" has been released, documenting the germ warfare crimes committed by the Japanese Unit 731 during World War II, based on previously unpublished archival evidence. The launch event took place in Heilongjiang Province, attended by over one hundred researchers and experts. Historian Jin Zhengmin presented the results of his research, which has spanned more than 30 years. The book contains over 300,000 pages of original documents, 20,000 criminal traces, and 400 hours of oral video archives. It sheds light on the secretive aspects of the unit’s laboratories and the covert deals made after the war, including how the United States obtained the data in exchange for covering up its crimes. This publication contributes to the enhancement of historical studies and provides accurate documentary evidence of war atrocities, coinciding with the 81st anniversary of the victory over Japanese aggression.
