British photographer John Wallis developed a project titled "Daily Icons" to highlight the architectural structures in Abu Dhabi that are often overlooked but form a part of the city’s identity. The project focuses on documenting buildings that are not considered famous landmarks, aiming to preserve architectural memory amidst the city’s ongoing development. It emphasizes buildings with a strong presence and the human stories connected to them, especially those that reflect international influences from earlier periods.
