The Government Media Office in Gaza announced the resignation of the Chair of the Governmental Emergency Committee and the dissolution of the committee, in preparation for the National Committee to assume its responsibilities. This aims to facilitate the administrative transition and reconstruction amid ongoing Israeli war and blockade on Gaza. The government authorities stated that preparations for the re-administration of the sector by the National Committee are complete, and that employees will continue their duties to ensure the continuity of services. This step is part of a transitional plan that includes reconstruction and Palestinian reconciliation, although the committee has not yet begun its work within the sector.
