The President of the International Football Federation, Gianni Infantino, issued a statement regarding the suspension of the American national team forward, Folarin Balogun, which had been imposed by FIFA's Disciplinary Committee after his red card in the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the statement, Article 27 of FIFA's regulations was activated, allowing for a review of the decision and the possibility for Balogun to participate in the match against Belgium in the Round of 16. Infantino confirmed that FIFA's independent judicial bodies operate independently, and the final decision will be made by the competent judicial authorities.
