Russia has experienced a severe fuel supply crisis, leading to long queues and restrictions on gasoline purchases, especially in cities like Yelista and Saint Petersburg. The crisis has worsened in over 40 regions due to Ukrainian attacks targeting refineries and storage facilities. These restrictions have resulted in rationing sales and prioritizing available supplies for critical sectors, while citizens have been forced to move between stations in search of fuel. Despite this, fuel availability has declined even though prices have not risen significantly within cities. Russia plans to import gasoline from India to address the shortage, as domestic production diminishes due to repeated Ukrainian strikes on oil installations. Meanwhile, Russian authorities are implementing emergency measures to support the market and mitigate the impact on inflation.
