The article details the weapons disarmament agreement with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, where Hamas has announced its acceptance of disarming as a prelude to the second phase of the de-escalation plan. The first phase involves Hamas ceasing its military activities and rebuilding its capabilities within 14 days, as part of an agreement that is to be signed by Hamas, intermediary countries, and an American council. The Israeli army doubts Hamas's intentions, emphasizing that it has not received any orders to change its military deployment, and believes that the movement is not prepared to lay down its weapons. Israel conditions its withdrawal from the green line on Hamas relinquishing its arms, while Washington seeks to monitor the implementation of the agreement, which stipulates that the weapons’ holders are limited to members of the technocratic government in Gaza, taking Israel’s concerns into account during the process.
