Egyptian Deputy Ghada El-Badawi issued a statement praising Egypt's role in supporting the Palestinian cause, particularly in efforts to mediate a ceasefire and facilitate humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of the war in October 2023. She emphasized that progress in the second phase of agreements reflects the international community’s confidence in Egyptian diplomacy, while Egypt continues to defend Palestinians' rights and support their aspiration to establish their state within 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. She called for strengthening international efforts to rebuild the Gaza Strip and ensure Palestinians can remain on their land, affirming that Egypt’s positions align with a strategic vision for achieving peace and stability in the region.
