The article discusses the efforts to save the animals at Madrid Safari during the wildfires that swept through western Madrid. Staff members transported the animals to indoor enclosures and provided necessary assistance to protect them from the flames. Rescue teams managed to evacuate around a thousand animals, including wild and rare species such as vultures, lynx, and the Iberian wolf, despite the flames dangerously approaching the facilities. Protection operations continued even after the fire was extinguished. The procedures indicate that all animals survived without injuries, although some experienced stress due to their time spent indoors. The park resumed its activities after the situation was brought under control.
