Germany carried out its first deportation flight since the Taliban took control of the country. An Airbus plane took off from Leipzig/Halle Airport to Turkey, then to Kabul, and involved the deportation of an Afghan man with no criminal records, along with 30 convicted individuals. This operation sparked widespread protests from anti-racism activists. Human rights organizations such as "Pro Asyl" and Amnesty International criticized the German government for exceeding ethical standards and human rights norms, normalizing relations with the Taliban regime despite not officially recognizing it, and continuing deportations despite the deteriorating human rights situation in Afghanistan. There are warnings about the dangers of deporting women and at-risk individuals.
