Trump pushes for Todd Blanche as AG
The article addressed U.S. President Donald Trump's stance regarding the nomination of Todd Blanche for the position of Attorney General. It clarified that if the Senate does not approve the nomination, Blanche will remain in his position temporarily, and pressure will be exerted on Congress to pass a $1.8 billion fund aimed at countering the politicization of government institutions. Blanche faces opposition from Republican Senators John Cornyn and Tom Tillis, who demand guarantees to prevent the creation of a false fund that would boost rewards for supporters. Despite the deadlock, Blanche may be allowed to continue working without Senate approval if his nomination remains under consideration and is not officially rejected.
