The Russian air defense forces announced the interception and destruction of 152 Ukrainian drones within 12 hours, targeting several areas in Russia as well as the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. This action comes in response to intensified Ukrainian attacks targeting border and interior regions of Russia using drones and missiles. These operations are part of the ongoing military escalation between Russia and Ukraine, with Russia focusing on protecting its territories from ongoing assaults and responding with precise strikes against military installations and weapons depots in Ukrainian territory. These included the destruction of warehouses and naval vessels in Odesa and Mykolaiv, as well as the destruction of missile launchers and other military targets. Reports indicate that Russian defenses intercepted and destroyed over 21,000 Ukrainian drones in July alone, reflecting an escalation in attack frequency and the advancement of Russian air defense capabilities in confronting the increasing Ukrainian threats.
