Iran discusses Hormuz passage with Oman
Iran and Oman are working to establish a new route in the Strait of Hormuz that ensures their mutual interests, with bilateral negotiations reaching their final stages. The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the situation in the strait will not return to what it was before the war, and that the United States has not permitted the reactivation of vessel traffic through the waterway, instead imposing unsafe routes in cooperation with some regional parties. Iran indicated that closing the strait is linked to America's violation of its commitments, reaffirming the priority of its national security and interests, and stating that it has received reassurances from Europe that there is no intention of undertaking military action.
