Trump resumes Iran talks after military plan canceled
U.S. President Donald Trump announced the resumption of talks with Iran, a day after he declared the cancellation of a large-scale attack on the country. This came after his allies, such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, requested to halt the operation, believing that there was an agreement regarding Iran’s nuclear disarmament and the Strait of Hormuz. Trump affirmed that the United States remains prepared to strike Iran but has held back at the request of its allies. Meanwhile, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman contacted Trump to express concerns over escalating tensions. These developments come amid regional and international tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear program and potential plans for attacks on Iranian sites.
