A bus accident in Algeria resulted in the deaths of 28 people and injuries to 36 others. Investigations revealed that the driver was under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident and was driving at a speed exceeding the permitted limit on a downhill stretch, despite the presence of a speed regulation sign. The bus was carrying 64 passengers, which is 51 more than the allowed capacity. Tragic road accidents have been occurring repeatedly in the country, leading the president to declare a national mourning and pursue those responsible for road safety.
