US Adjusts Fuel Supply Fleet in Israel
The United States has begun reassigning military refueling aircraft within Israel, with some being stationed at airbases instead of being confined to Ben Gurion Airport's civilian facilities. The goal is to reduce the impact of their presence on civilian air traffic and to facilitate operational flexibility. Satellite images indicate a decline in the number of aircraft parked in the eastern apron of Ben Gurion Airport, alongside the emergence of new clusters at Ramon Airport, where some aircraft were relocated in August 2026. This shift follows previous disagreements over the use of American aircraft in Ben Gurion's parking areas. The redistribution plan aims to ease congestion at the civilian airport while maintaining military cooperation, keeping most aircraft within Israel in line with recent changes in military and air operations.
